Shlomo Riskin draws attention to the use of the word “morasha”, which appears in this sedra. Hashem promised that he would give the land .. “to you as a morasha (a heritage) , Exodus 6-8 and in only one other place in the Torah – Deuteronomy 33-4 , where it is used in reference to the Torah.
The usual word for inheritance is” yerusha”. Riskin maintains that this word is used for material objects such as money, a house, shares, whereas morasha relates to concepts or guides for living. The Torah certainly qualifies and the concept of Eretz Yisrael likewise.
