Pesach and slowly slowly

The Haftorah for the Eighth Day of Pesach is taken from Isaiah Chapter 10. It contains, amongst other things, the passage ‘the wolf shall lie down with the lamb etc”.

Utopian concepts have been exploited by leaders who have sought to build a society according to their theories of the ideal society such as Marxism, communism and fascism.

They should have rather heeded the idea of slow, piecemeal change to society, such as advocated by Karl Popper and also mentioned by Isaiah in Chapter 28, admittedly out of context, where it says: “Slowly, slowly here, a little there a little.”
