CAMERA has exposed one eggregious quote attributed to David Ben Gurion that appears to have been created by Ilan Pappe. The quote about a supposed advance plan to expel Arabs, has not stood up to scrutiny, and is to be removed from a film. One of Pappes articles restating this quote is currently being investigated.
Steven Plaut has this to say about Pappe after his recent presentation in Boston… Well worth reading, and you won’t the same after him, after reading that.
Tamar Sternthall adds “Pappe .. has repeatedly and openly eschewed historical facts in favor of ideology, stating, for example, “Indeed the struggle is about ideology, not about facts, Who knows what facts are? We try to convince as many people as we can that our interpretation of the facts is the correct one, and we do it because of ideological reasons, not because we are truthseekers” (Le Soir, Nov. 29, 1999).”

“I am a political activist” he writes here

He is an activist – define that.
Hopefully people will see the light regarding Pappe, although there is a somewhat bizarre negative reaction to facts – e.g. “We’re not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact checkers” – Neil Newhouse, Romney’s campaign manager.
