Global forum for combating antisemitism

Earlier this month, an international forum for combating antisemitism was held in Jerusalem with a wide range of speakers.  One session, which was devoted to “Trends in the Deligitimisation of Israel in the International Arena” featured members of parliament from Israel, UK and Italy and Anne Bayefsky, of UN Watch.  The session was ably introduced by Gerald Steinberg, head of NGO Monitor in Israel, Their speeches are worth looking in video format here.  Jeremy Jones from Sydney, was also featured in a session on global trends in antisemitism.

The website for the forum contains some excellent links regarding antisemitism, including appropriate definitions and terms. For example, there is a link on the Yale site for the study of antisemitism to a thoughtful paper by David Hirsh on the relationship between antizionism and antisemitism here.
