It makes for good reading .. suggesting that Netanyahu should act rather than be passive. It must be tempting to hunker down, since at this turbulent time in the region, Israel would not want to appear to be making concessions from a position of weakness. The role of Hamas in the West Bank also remains a big unknown, as would be Israel’s ongoing ability to prevent missile attacks from the West Bank. Jerusalem also remains a major stumbling block, and Israel must feel less able to rely on Obama support – even if he is gearing up for election mode.
Abram’s article, however, is well argued.
