As the U.S. elections get close, political correctness rears its head

National Public Radio (NPR)  has been a staple for much of the broadcasting in the U.S.; it is also well aired in Australia.

Juan Williams, a veteran African-American newsman who had previously managed to balance appearances at NPR as well as Fox, was fired by NPR for remarks considered unbecoming . The episode, though, is more reminiscent of a leftist intolerance “free speech for me but not for thee” 

Williams began “Political correctness can lead to a certain kind of paralysis, where you don’t address reality”
